Loved this traditional hotel. The garden and pool area were very relaxing.
Bit of a climb from the the waterfront although we enjoyed the character of the streets, but you need to be fit on foot.

Great 1930s Building fabulous entrance. great pool well maintaned along with the rest of the outdoor space.
This is a truly fabulous building and has great potential, It needs some money reinvested to bring it up to a higher standard. The rooms are tired and in great need of modernisation. There is not enough Housekeeping staff to keep the cleanliness of the Hotel at a reasonable standard, sadly gruby and shody.

front office was very helpful, restaurant and bars staff were customer friendly.....I enjoyed the company of other patrons, and i made friends too....It is a quiet hotel with alot of history...i was in room 208 (or (209) the one with 3 beds in it....hahaha was treated well and i told my friends about it as well....this was not my first and last time over there because i will surely book there again
As i said before the hotel has alot of history, however it wouldn't be a bad idea if the lift and the tiles on some floors would be upgraded....another thing was the tv...it wouldn't be a bad idea if BBC is provided in the room even at a nominal charge...

My fiancee and I together with a friend stayed at the Imperial in June this year spotlessly clean and very friendly met with people who had returned many times.liked so much returning next June for longer stay
