I was unaware that the hotel was in the course of being refurbished. We were given a room which had been refurbished and was fine, what was a shock was all the builders working on the hotel from 8 till 6.

Location
The first rooms we were allocated were absolutely filthy, refuse bins had not been emptied from previous occupants so i presume room had not been cleaned either, had to get moved, rooms ok then but level of cleaning etc is very poor. Building work going on in hotel & started each morning around 6.30 & was extremely noisy. Air conditioning did not work in one of our rooms & was very poor in the other so it was impossible to sleep. Staff did not do anything about the problem. As a person with a heart condition & breathing problems i found this extremely bad.

The location is excellent. We had a double room with a balcony overlooking the Med. The room cost only Eur173 for the week. Staff at reception ( Alexandra ) were brilliant. The hotel is near a car park ( EUR2 per day). The hotel was clean overall, with a nice bar , & Restaurant downstairs.
We stayed in Feb on the 5th floor of the hotel. There is construction going on outside the hotel combined with EXTREMELY noisy hotel maids, and other guests on the 5th floor. There were a group of people in their 50's, who did not know how to close their bedroom doors properly. They had to continuously SLAM their doors at 2am, 3am, 4am etc, & then the Hotel maid's started making their noise, followed by the builders outside at 8am!! Catch my drift??

Everthing. We booked superior double room and got a room with 2 single beds,when we asked at reception we were told no double rooms available that they would push the beds togeather and it would be the same as double.also we arrived at the hotel at 1.30 and did not get our room until 3.30pm. we also feel that when we pay 400 euro for a room you should be able to use the fridge in the room without it costing another 23 euro per week.the air conditioning in the room sounded like a tractor in the room so we could not turn it on when i went to reception they said we got one of the best rooms in the house if this was the best i would not like to see the worst would not recomend this hotel to anyone.

There was no water in either of the pools, there was noisy building work ongoing all the time, breakfast was terrible, bed was never changed, room was dirty, not enough clean towels left one a day for both of us, when we complained as did many of the other guests i didnt feel that we were taken seriously and nothing came of our complaints.

Good location for bars and restaurants
Clean, but very basic. Very noisy location. Fine as base but not if you plan on spending any time there or intend to get some sleep! Groups of people returning at all hours, any noise travels far in the hotel, woken up to loud music from rooms 2 floors below

For our purpose it was the location.
Giving my knowledge of Malta having lived there for 9 years, in the Summer it would be the location BUT for us at that time, fine. Really there was nothing that we could say was bad about the hotel.

value for money well-situated for buses
- groups of very noisy children running in the corridors at night but no help from Reception to stop this (I called Reception at 3am but the noise continued). Lack of adult supervision. - people coming in late at night banging doors and shouting in the corridors. Sound-proofing needs improving. - much noise heard from the street because there is no double-glazing on the windows - building work began every morning at 8am. For guests who didn't sleep the previous night because of the noise, this is too early.

Very shabby, Rooms not looked after and beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. The noise at the hotel was cronic. There was work going on there at the time it was like hell on earth from about 7am every morning impossible to sleep. Hotel should of been closed if work like that was being carried out. Will never stay there again.

When this client stayed at this hotel in February 2009, the indoor pool was being refurbished & outdoor pool was not being used since it was winter period. Probably this resulted in the wrong impression re: hotel having no pool.

Location is great
Rooms are a disgrace, I have no problem with basic rooms if they are clean and in good repair but the rooms in this hotel were terrible. Friends traveling with us complained about their room and were shown 2 more equally as bad. The beds in our room had a sheet of ply wood under the mattress as a base, broken fixtures in the bathroom, no bracket to hold the shower head, the door to the tiny balcony could not be locked etc....

absolutely nothing
First you must pay in advance because, of course, if you will see the rooms you will search for another place. Maybe under a street balcony would be a better place!! Me and my girlfriend came from spain and booked for a double room but was only twin rooms available (after pay of course) and we must put the beds together just to win a back pain! pools are not and will not ever been available, you can only see a photo of the pool on his website. Once you pay, all the crew turn their smiles to an ugly and rude actitudes to you and they must feel you like they are kidding and joking you!!! TV doesn't work, every day at 7 oclock plumbers started to work with an horrible noise and seems that wall was going to fall. Dirty bathroom with a nice beetle included... I can continue but resuming, please choose another hotel if you would like to enjoy Malta (nice place to spend your holidays)!!

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel quattro giorni a cavallo fine maggio 2008 e sono stata contentissima, camere silenziose, nonostante la zona sia movimentata, ottima pulizia, colazione abbondante e soprattutto personale molto gentile.
Consiglio veramente a chi deve andare a Malta, stupenda isola, di prenotare qui, l'albergo è anche comodo a piedi
