The staff was always polite, courteous and helpful.
You have to be careful not to leave exposed food in the apartments as there are lot of ants.

The room was overlooking the street at first floor. I had booked a comfort room with village views and got a room just above the street. I did not complain cause we were only staying for one night and did not want to waste time and cause any problems.

Location is nice, furniture and decor too.
The mattresses need to be changed, they look old, it's like sleeping in a hole in the middle of the bed. Some selection of fresh vegetables should be put at breakfast. Meat was not good at buffet, too hard to chew. Vegetables were cooked too spicy, and soup too salty. Juice at breakfast is no juice at all, but water mixed with flavour and sugar, awful! I think a 4star hotel should offer a good quality juice at breakfast. it's degrading to offer flavoured and coloured water.

There needs to be a welcome pack in room so that you know what the hotel is offering. A cold and un-welcoming hotel. Very basic tea/coffee facilities in room. A bar of soap and a shower gel only supplied. Breakfast was one of the poorest we have ever experienced. Lighting in the hotel very poor for reading. Spa and pool facilities poor. We know that it is off season but surely guests should get a quality service all the year round. The list goes on ..... very disappointing.

We requested a QUIET room and were given a room next to the trattatoria....what a joke ;dragging chairs and tables across the floor at midnight whilst clearing up . We complained and were told they would speak to the manager of the trattatoria and tell him to be quiet....what a joke.I would welcome your comments as we are taking this up with the hotel and would welcome you doing the same. A very tired and pissed off client. PS we are in contact with Trip advisor and they will publish our review soon.

this is the second time we came to this hotel. For the foreigners, this is hotel is situated at the top of a hill, in a relatively small quiet village with a nice panorama. There is a good number of decent restaurants around. The room facilities were very good (tv, minibar, bathroom facilities), but full points must be given to the breakfast! It is so varied (different cereals, bread, cakes & croissants, sausages, eggs, bacon, etc), delicious & well laid out, and the breakfast staff are friendly and hardworking.
In my opinion, improvement is needed in the following: - cleanliness of the room, bathroom and hotel in general (eg. glasses, plates, cutlery need to be washed better) - tv stations are limited (somehow there are a lot of german stations)

Everything was excellent. We were also given a free upgrade of the room which was a pleasant surprise. The food is great and the view amazing.
Only one thing we asked the maid for a couple of towels to have a shower on the morning before we were checking out and we were not given due to policy or something like that. But no big deal.

Hotel is beautifully designed especially garden pool with adjacent indoor pool and spa; lobby area and also rooms.
Roof swimming pool area is not very attractive. it's just a roof with swimming pools and sunbeds. A little more design should have been put into it to keep it up to hotels's design standards.

Food in dinner and everything was like agreed in general.
A bit, kids loved the indoor pool, but the water was quite dirty in the warm water pool. People did not shower themselves before they went to the pool and that is why there we all kind of nasty things floating on the water.

The room was so spacious and nice, view a beautiful view of the church and Mellieha bay in the distance. It was on the top floor and it was so quiet. Everywhere in the hotel was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was also good and with variety. It was just a perfect weekend break.
Maybe the fact the the hotel was split into 2 buildings on boths sides of the road and so to get to the other building (for reception and breakfast, youneed to go down underground cross a tunnel and go up again, so it took a while to get used to. But then when I did get used to it, it didn't bother at all, especially since there are a number of smooth lifts to be used.
