Maltalingua international language school is situated in a newly renovated historic building overlooking the picturesque bay of St. Julian’s. A team of dedicated, highly qualified teachers run this small and personal British owned school. Adult students of all ages from around the world are warmly welcomed and English courses are provided for beginners to advanced learners.

The school consists of bright modern climate controlled classrooms, greeting reception desk, teacher’s lounge, student administration office, internet studio, a 90 m² roof-terrace with private swimming-pool, lending library, snack bar, chill out room and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Maltalingua seek to maintain the highest of international teaching standards. Consequently all teachers are native English speakers and have taught for at least 2 years. Teachers are required to carry an international accredited teaching qualification such as a TEFL certificate (Teaching English and a Foreign Language), Trinity or the University of Cambridge CELTA or DELTA certificate. Outside the classrooms teachers actively participate and regularly attend activities and excursions with students.

All course material is provided and a level test is conducted on the first day of school. On successful completion of the course students are presented with an accredited course certificate. Free Internet access is provided and students are issued a Maltalingua ID card, which can be used to redeem discounts in local shops, restaurants and local beach clubs.

Depending on individual preferences students can choose between the following options: for those who seek full immersion within an easy-going and rich local culture they have the opportunity to be accommodated with a local host family on a half-board basis. For independent students who are keen to share a flat with other students, Maltalingua provide our own self-catering apartments. For those who prefer complete independence, any number of hotel options can be arranged. All provided accommodation options are within walking distance of the school.

At the start of each week, Maltalingua arrange a "Welcome Meeting" held on the pool rooftop terrace.  Students are invited to sample locally made Maltese delicacies and meet and greet other students and teachers. The school also provide an exciting activity program for all students – such as boat trips around the island, historical UNESCO heritage tours, scuba diving, music concerts, pub quiz nights and a whole lot more......
