Our AC was not working well so the room was coldish.

the location
tv remote was not working, there was no hot water in the bath, and it needs a refurbishment, considered that it costs a lot!!!

The View & Location was excellent!
Hygiene standards were well below average. No mattress protector on the beds, room dusty, ceiling fan thick with black dust. Dirty drips on bathroom doors. White bath towels were greyish in colour. It didn't bother us at all that the hotel was dated but there is no excuse for lack of cleanliness and hygiene.

Its central location and on the sea front. 5 minute walk to all the ferries i.e. to Comino, gozo and also Valletta . Valletta is a 10 minute ferry ride away. The staff were welcoming and polite and v helpful. Its a large, clean, friendly excellent hotel.
Yes. The hotel is in sections. Some are newer than others. This was not obvious when booking. We were in the older tower block which was lovely but I would have liked to have had this information when booking and would opted for a room in the newer block

The location was great and I had a very relaxing time staying there. I noticed before I went that a few reviews were a bit down on the hotel. Frankly, I think they were nit picking....if you look for things you will always find something as I am ashamed to say our professional Englaish whinger always can. They didnt have my booking notified by your web site but once i showed them the booking data they sorted me quickly and efficently. The staff were courteous and had a sense of humour. The buffet breafast I also thought was good which is not always easy catering for many hundreds of people. Not perfect, but a good stay and I would stay again with out hesitation

The location, by the see
It was old, and did not feel like 4 stars. The breakfest was not nice.

Rooms were good, breakfast was very good.
Lifts that do not work. Too much emphasis on amenities provided within the Hotel. Swimming pool much too small and with limited opening times too crowded. Building site next door. Twin beds pushed together is not a double room! A doublebed makes it a double room!

The view and location
Yes, the photo's told me a nice hotel (4 star) but i had a romantic weekend in mind, but 2 single beds, television that doesn't work. Old beds and i know there are also new rooms, and i booked a superior room, and not an old fashion with 1 star.
[The hotel amended their room types and one can now clearly distinguish between booking a room with a double bed or with twin beds.]

Glass of freshly squeezed Orange on arrival was very welcome and well presented. Most staff very helpful and friendly - one a little surly.
Seaview room felt a lot less luxurious than the website images suggested.

Very good central location in Sliema.
One of the main reasons for booking our one night here was to use the indoor pool and jacuzzi in the morning, as we both work in Malta and had a chance to take a mini-break. We were most disappointed when we went down to the pool on the morning of Friday 30th, only to find that the pool area was closed and would not reopen until the evening!
