The wonderful thing about diving in Malta is that it can be done all year round. In the summer months, the average water temperature is 27 Degrees Celcius, which makes for very comfortable diving, and in Winter, it is 15 Degrees Celcius.

Fun and Adventure is guaranteed! Malta offers the ideal conditions to the budding enthusiast that wants to learn how to dive and magnificent dives for the certified diver. A choice of Reef, Wall, Cave and Wreck Dives are accessible from shore and by boat. For the Technical Diver, Malta is a haven, offering deep undersea caverns and World War II Wrecks that are just waiting to be dived and explored. The Scuba Diving Industry in Malta is innovative and ongoing. On the 14th August of 2007 another wreck The P29 was scuttled by the Malta Marine Foundation in Cirkewwa creating an artificial reef and yet again a new divesite.

Here are some suggestions as to which wetsuit will best suit the Maltese climate around the year :

  • January - May Sea: 15-18C 8mm Full suit or Dry suit
  • June - October Sea: 20-27C 3mm Shortie or 3mm Body suit
  • November - December Sea: 16-20C 5mm Full suit
