The Malta Wedding Company was set up by Andrea Britton in 2010, after organising her own wedding in Malta. At MWC, we believe that Malta is still one of the more underestimated islands of the Mediterranean, true soul and love is plentiful and on a practical tip for tourists in Europe, Malta is hot, close, full of life and history and affordable.
When booking a holiday abroad, especially when you are organising your wedding, there is always a risk and with that risk comes worry and anxiety, something we could all do a little bit less of, especially if you are a bride to be!
"I had worked on the island for nearly 10 years and had a very fixed image of how I wanted my wedding to look and feel and was certain that Malta was the right place for that to be happen. I didn't want a traditional affair, I wanted something unique and fabulous with the 'Wow factor!' I just needed to find a like minded bunch that would help my vision become reality. This was challenging, time consuming and defeating at times and the internet was saturated with wooden ideals of how a wedding should be. There was most certainly a lack of originality, flair and modern thinking. I also had to avoid those that were hoping to make a quick buck out of a foreigner. I quickly began to realise a genuine gap in the Maltese and English markets for an imaginative and artistic organiser to aid a soon-to-be bride planning their dream wedding. Since its birth we have produced many unique and successful events for couples from all over the globe.
