Once the heart and soul of Valletta, Café Premier is now re-opened in all its former glory and re-establishing itself as the place to be. Valletta’s first and original al fresco café is located right in the very heart of the city, at Republic Square, nostalgically better known as ‘Piazza Regina’.

Beneath the National Library, the Premier Archway Café covers the larger part of the monumental Baroque archway, a portico to our sheltered café and restaurant. Surrounded by iconic architecture, the archway provides a grand and enchanting ambiance, where one can enjoy our authentic Sicilian coffee, wines of the estates of the Knights of St John, delightfully prepared lunches and exceptional dinners.

Each of our three inside dining rooms and bars have its distinct style and atmosphere and are
absolutely the place to start or finish your evening at leisure or at the theatre, although Café Premier is essentially quite the place for endless parties too…

Fine dining in the elegantly restored classic dining room becomes a tasteful affair, blending the art of the culinary with eighteenth century architecture and the painstakingly restored art nouveau decorations form the brilliant décor of the Tapas Bar.
Those who find it easy to make an entrance often find it difficult to leave our Sky Light Sushi Bar.
