The Kordin III prehistoric temples date back to 3,700BC. It is one of the most complete from the period beyond the major temple complexes of Tarxien, Hagar Qim & Mnajdra and Ggantija. It vaunts of the largest prehistoric paved fore court and also unique stone through. The temple is secluded between the Church of St. Francis and the MCASt at Paola (opposite the Mosque). It is ideal for school groups to explore and learn about Malta’s prehistory.
Special hands-on sessions will be held for students during which they will be instructed on how ancient pottery ware was made using skills and equipment that are typical to the temple period. Students will be introduced to elementary basics in archaeology and made aware of the controversies that heritage sites are subject to in their conservation.
